How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139:17-18

As children of God we know how our lives are in His hands, but we forget that God constantly thinks of us. He thinks of the plans he has for us daily. He thinks of how he is going to blow your mind with the blessings he has in store for us. He thinks about what we are about to be shown. He thinks of the way our hearts break and the way that we give to him. How precious it is to think that God is always thinking of us and hoping for us. His constant thought of us shows his faithfulness and all-knowing love. God knows every part of us and loves us completely.

We cannot comprehend why or how God can think about us constantly, but that is the wonder that leaves us awestruck when we think of his precious thoughts about us. We can't count the sum of his thoughts for us or his desire for us. We can't comprehend what he has in store for us because as these verses state it would outnumber the grains of sand. The multitude of thoughts God has about us outnumber all of the grains of sand! How incredible!

When we awake we are still with God. His thoughts are still surrounding us and so when we awake we should thank him for the thoughts he's had about us and show him our devotion by giving much of our precious thoughts and time to the wonders of him. Even in our sleep, the Lord thinks of us and takes pleasure in the rest we find in him. Awake to the fact that his thoughts are constantly about us and be still with the wonder of what that means. Rejoice in the incomprehensible magnitude of his precious thought and plan for our lives.

Dear Lord,
    We thank you and want to tell you how precious your thoughts are for us. We don't deserve any of what you have given us but it is only by your incomprehensible grace that we can see how much you think about us. The fact that we can't understand every part of you helps us to stand in awe at the wonder of what you do show us. We thank you for the wisdom and the glimpses that you show us through verses that remind us how we are yours. We praise you and pray that the thoughts we have about you throughout each day will be as precious to you as your thoughts about us are precious to us. In your holy name, Amen!
