When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? Psalm 8:3-4

When you think of everything that's beautiful around you and consider the fact that everything of worth comes from the love of our father's hands you can't help but stand in awe at his majesty. From the moon and the stars to every single wonderful blessing in your life is set in order by God. Everything is known, seen, and controlled by God once we have a relationship with him. To think of all the majesty and the fact that we have sinned makes us wonder - what is it about us that we deserve this?

After everything I have done in spite of God or against God he still thinks I am loveable and able to be changed by his hands. If I had said any of the things or done any of the things to others as I have to God I know I would never deserve to see or hear from them again. God is different, he knows that even though we don't deserve his mercy and we don't deserve the beauty of his earth he still wants to give it to us because his love is so great. Who is man that he deserves the wonders of this world and the blessing from above? Man is God's servant and you specifically are one of his loved ones.

That's the wonder of God - we don't have to do anything to prove our worth to him - he already knows about it. We don't have to read so many bible chapters or sing so many songs to earn the gift God has for us, because his gift and wonder is free for us. It was paid by Christ's death and we are bought and thus able to see the wonder of his hands. The fact that we know we don't deserve everything God has given us is just another reason why we should stand in complete awe at the majesty of what he has created in our lives. It is another reason why we love the mysterious guider of our life. Praise be to him who made the stars and moon and praise to the one who leads us where we are to go even though we don't deserve it.

Dear God,
    We thank you for being mindful of us. We praise you for your love because it is something we humans can't even begin to grasp the entirety of. Who are we that you would be mindful of us? We are your children and we thank you for the blessing of knowing you Lord. We pray that you will help us to remember you bought us with a price and we are therefore worthy of all the blessings and promises you have for us. You give us joy lord and everything we don't deserve and because of that we thank you full-heartedly. Praise you! Amen.
